Welcome Messages

Dr. Majed Alghamdi

On behalf of the Board of the Saudi Association of Radiation Oncology (SARO), it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th Saudi Association of Radiation Oncology Annual Meeting.

This meeting represents more than an annual scientific gathering—it reflects our collective commitment to advancing radiation oncology practice, education, research, and patient-centered care in Saudi Arabia and the region. Over the years, SARO has continued to grow as a professional home that brings together clinicians, physicists, therapists, researchers, and partners united by a shared vision of excellence.

SARO 2026 has been carefully designed to offer a rich scientific program, meaningful discussions, and opportunities for collaboration that address both current practice and future directions in radiation oncology.

Equally important, this meeting is a platform to celebrate our national achievements, support the next generation of radiation oncology professionals, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines—aligned with the Kingdom’s broader healthcare transformation and Vision 2030.

I extend my sincere thanks to the scientific committee, organizing team, speakers, sponsors, and contributors for their dedication to bringing this meeting to life. Most importantly, thank you to our colleagues and friends for joining us and for your continued support of SARO.

I wish you a productive, engaging, and memorable SARO 2026.
